NDQSA reunion attendees participated in the Annual Veterans Day Observance at the Wall, Washington D.C., November 11, 2024. This year’s theme was the 40th anniversary of the “Three Servicemen” statue and the 20th anniversary of the In Memory plaque. The Three Servicemen Statue is a slightly larger-than-life depiction of three infantrymen cast in bronze. The “In Memory” plaque is a carved piece of black granite with an inscription reading “In memory of the men and women who served in the Vietnam War and later died as a result of their service. We honor and remember their sacrifice.”
Years after the war had ended, it became clear that the toll it had taken on those who had served had not ended. Many began to suffer premature deaths related to their service. Some contracted serious illnesses brought on by exposure to Agent Orange. Others endured the consequences of post-traumatic stress disorder. The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund (VVMF) believes all those who served in Vietnam should be honored and remembered for their service. The In Memory program enables the families and friends of those who came home and later died the opportunity to have them be forever memorialized. Annual Veterans Day Observance 2025 theme will be the 50th anniversary of the end of the war with a focus on the Names on the Wall and their sacrifice.
Luke Clark, Jackie Carver, Richard Russell, Pat McLaughlin, David McCray and David Vaillancour, all members of NDQSA, traveled to Fort Sill to place a wreath on Veterans Day 2023. This monument is within Centennial Park at Fort Sill, Oklahoma and is a lasting reminder of the courage, dedication and sacrifice of those 212 Duster, Quad, Searchlight, and Hawk men who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our nation and our freedoms in Vietnam 1965-1972.

The secretary’s corner of the NDQSA website is committed to keeping members informed about the business of the association and the board activities that manage those functions.
The NDQSA Board of Directors meet several times a year, usually via telephone conference calls. Official minutes of these proceedings are maintained by the secretary IAW the bylaws. These Members Reports capture and condense the most relevant information. In the past this only happened in the newsletters but sometimes there have been space limitations. The website affords another opportunity to keep the NDQSA membership informed about the business of the association. Hover over highlighted “Members-Report” to access the linked document.
The NDQSA bylaws dictate that the annual meeting of the membership of the Association shall be held at least once each calendar year at a time and place designated by the board of directors. The minutes from those annual business meetings are posted here for all NDQSA members to review. Hover over highlighted “minutes meeting” to access the linked document.
